I just built my house .. Need help with colors?
my house is under construction, all walls have not been painted, no furniture, doors, nothing. It has little chocolate floors throughout the house and looks beautiful, but I do not know what colors go with it. Can anyone suggest color walls of each room, kitchen, the colors for the counters and counters etc. I was thinking for the kitchen I could get funds blackbrown counter cabinets etc and get the shiny white marble countertops with all stainless steel appliances? would be for all parties? and could make the rest of my house three colors? (White, chocolate brown, and silver / stainless steel) or my whole house seems to look too normal?
First, I would recommend granite top marble countertop in the kitchen! Marble can stain and etching, despite being sealed. Stains on the marble always be there. Recorded marble, can no longer be fixed forever. Some granites are priced lower than neutral, which work great in the kitchen. Something like Giallo Ornamental Santa Cecilia, New Venetian Gold or if you like a little darkness in it, go with Portifino gold. (Do not worry, the gold is not really gold, just hints of it!) Also with the granite, which is almost sure to get a 100% return on investment if you sell the house. For equipment, stick with stainless steel. You can not go wrong with them. For cabinets, light cherry or oak work well with floors, caps, etc. If the kitchen is open to another room and the dining room or family room, it would be nice to have similar colors everywhere. As for the other rooms, make a change. In the living room, use green and blue. Both work But floors chocolate. You can see a lot of ideas for this in the HGTV.com site. In the master bedroom, go with browns, creams and maybe a medium blue. If another room as a dormitory for girls, go with browns and pinks or lavender. Keep bathrooms, more or less neutral on the walls / floor. Bring in color with accessories such as towels, shower curtain, etc.
